All of my family is 2,000 miles away. It's only been a month and so only a handful of family know that I've switched cars or have seen photos of it. The only thing I've heard is from my mom who said it was "so sleek". She doesn't know Infiniti or much about cars these days from a can of paint so she thinks most cars are "sleek" these days.

I haven't "displayed" the car to many of my friends except via Facebook but I've continued to dazzle my gf-in training with all of the cool features on the car. My Facebook "friends" seem to be all on the positive/wow side as well.

My daughter wants to drive it. She was so jazzed about the 2004 i35 we bought her until she saw my car. I had her move it in the driveway yesterday. She loved the hill-hold assist.

My mom lives in FL and drives a 2007 G35 sedan. She can't believe I bought a car that costs north of $50K. She's 73 years old. Cars shouldn't cost that much.

Haven't shown it to many friends yet since I've only had it 3 days. The ones who have gone on test drives absolutely love the tech.

I've had awesome reaction to it! Last night, when I was celebrating my bday with friends, I felt like a dealer rep giving customers test drives or a ride just to see the driving experience! Everyone basically loved it and some were even considering to get one!

Another funny experience was with my dad! We crossed paths on the road last week and it was the first time he saw the taillights lit up @ night! My mom was riding with him @ that time and was saying that is our son and my dad was just wowed about the eyes of the taillights! :D

I find that a lot of people love the Q50. Some don't even think it's a Japanese car, some thought it was British or even German. I guess I can see some British in it.
That's a great sign for the brand. People don't usually associate and overtly Japanese design with upscale car design. That the Q50 manages to integrate some Infiniti traditional Japanese elements into a design that looks very European is something of a triumph. I have high hopes for the appearance of the redesigned Q60 and Q70.

- Good speed and acceleration for the $
- They like the 360 degree cameras
- They think the seat quality is good (Q50S so I think the seats are a bit different)
- They are sorta freaked out/scared about the DAS aspect (and we have not even told them about the failure my wife suffered while parking).
- They said the trunk looks small (this would be due to us getting the spare-tire package).
- They made fun of us for the Touch and Connection issues (especially the slow startup).
- Anyway, the feedback from most of them has been positive overall.

Let see...
My mom say it's ugly. I haven't heard she a say any car looks good for some reason.
My co-worker think it's alright. They say I should have gotten a BMW or Mercedes especially I am paying over 50k+ on a car.
My brothers think it's overprice. They say I could have gotten 2 Camry or 2 Altima.
My buddy think didn't say much. Not a single compliment. He got a G37. Maybe he just jealous.

The only person that compliment my Q50 is my wife. That's good enough for me.
As long as I am happy with my Q50, I don't really care what people say **** about it.

Took a co-worker who owns a BMW to lunch in it. He loved it. Was impressed with the Interior and the tech.

Let him drive it home from lunch - he had a big smile on his face.

It is on his short list of cars to purchase in the near future.

Happy belated Bday, gbert!

Well, let's see. During my very short 6 days of Q,
My husband was VERY impressed by the response and power of Q. He generally is into German car, but he thinks Q is nothing less! One night I was following his car, and he drove exceptionally slow. --- He was watching/staring my head lights. :D

My girl-coworkers LOVED the color. That was early Sept and the sun was bright. They walked around the car wooing & ahhing with different lights/shades/curves the car presented. :p Of course recently I have heard several times "Are you EVER gonna have that beautiful car back?!" :(

Oh well, won't be too long before I get those complements again! :)

Thanks tt_45! I'm with your co-workers with this and am eagerly awaiting the return of your beautiful MB Q50 as well! :D

A couple of "wows" from some coworkers, but that's about it. It's not surprising as south Florida is full of "European luxury cars only" snobs (including some family members). I like it (as does my wife), and that's all that matters. Plus, I'm the only black sport I've seen (almost all the ones I've seen are premiums), so it's nice to drive around in an "exclusive" car (for the time being).

On a side note, every time I see a CLA (and I'm seeing more and more everyday), I laugh to myself. It's incredible how anyone would pay north of 30-35K for that squashed up CLA with a 20-25K interior (well, it IS a Mercedes Benz after all...[sarcasm]).
