Moving Object Detection - it's when the car detects things approaching the car when you back out of a parking spot, for example. It's been there all along, most likely. You can turn it off, but I wonder why you would want to.
Thanks - that shows you how observant I am.Moving Object Detection - it's when the car detects things approaching the car when you back out of a parking spot, for example. It's been there all along, most likely. You can turn it off, but I wonder why you would want to.
It will actually slam on the brakes if you are about to hit something. It's happened several times when I back into my garage. It means MOD is active and working as designed. If it detects movement, there is a beep and (if I remember correctly) the MOD sign flashes.
I was actually thinking about when the car is in park and stationary. What you are talking about is actually the Backup Collision Intervention at work.It will actually slam on the brakes if you are about to hit something. It's happened several times when I back into my garage.
