I saw the hybrid has a smaller gas tank (17.5) than a standard (20). Can it be realistic to get a ballpark for range to multiply highway miles per gallon times capacity or is there some "magic" with the battery that needs to be considered?

Thanks

Same as the gasser.

17.5 x 35 mph = 612
20 x 30 mph = 600

so if you get 22 MPG on a non hybrid then your range would be 440 miles..
22 mpg x 20 gallon tank..
The hybrid will get 490 miles..

28 mpg x 17.5 gallons is 490 miles..

The car has 3 gallons of gas left once the light comes on and when it says 0 miles you hav 1 gallon left...
