Benchmark shows Intel Atom used in InTouch is losing to iPhone A7 chip.
It's not exactly the same model of Atom but so-so architecture and lack of power definitely noticeable in InTouch

klimchuk, it should be able to still run fine.

If you take a base Q50 without NAV (which probably has it's own CPU anyway) and any of the tech options.
InTouch isn't really doing much.
Even on a low end CPU it should be able to move faster than it does.

It seems more like software or some other issue going on beyond just the CPU.

Its using a fairly old version of Android. Newer versions are much more efficient with CPU and memory (memory especially). Google said they wanted KitKat (newest released version of Android) to work on even low-spec hardware, and they've succeeded pretty well in making that happen.

If inTouch were upgraded to Android 4.4 (KitKat) it would probably run a whole lot better even on the current hardware.

I don't think the Atom chip in the article is the same as the Atom chip we have.

What operating system?

Running Windows on an Atom CPU is very different than running a Unix/Linux variant on an Atom CPU. In addition, a laptop is doing a whole lot more than an infotainment system in a car.
