I haven't received my Q yet, but I noticed from pics that the Q does not have a windshield "eyebrow" like my G coupe does. What gives? Any know of a good alternative to factory windshield eyebrow?

How is your Q going to be equipped? Remember, there are some electronics included in the technology package that require a clear view out of the windshield. This is probably the reason.

I will have tech package but will the tint really interfere?

Take a close look at a Q50 with the tech package. Between the camera for the lane keeping and the sensor for the automatic wipers, there is quite a bit that some integrated tint could interfere with. You could get a skilled tint guy to work around these items to give you some relief from the sun though. I just think that Infiniti chose to err on the side of caution when specing the glass for the windshield.

Yeah, I was wondering why there was no factory blue tint up there. Also, the sunvisor doesn't have an extender, instead the entire visor moves back to block the sun. Which is weird at first but I got use to it.

Has anyone with tech pack successfully done this?

If tinting the front windshield visor area is bad, why didn't Infiniti issue a warning for everyone who bought the car?

Maybe they didn't do a factory tint to cut cost?
Check pages 2-44 and 5-29 of your owner's manual for the warning you mentioned.

Seems to me it would be OK as long as it were "eyebrows" rather than a unibrow. Just don't mess with the area just in front of the lane camera.
