Wow the Q doors open wide!

So I'm just starting to drive me Q around and finding little things here and there.

Today, I found out that the doors open REALLY wide, especially on the passenger side. My wife had to get out of her seat to be able to reach the handle to pull the door closed!

Just a minor observation. anyone else's significant other have the same issue?

I thought this was one of Infiniti's features. My G's doors on both sides opened pretty wide the same way. Wider than any other car I have owned.:D
You are correct about this. So much so that I trade it my 12' M37s for the Q50s because even though is close to an 1" less of RL room, it is actually easier to get in an out of the car, which essentially makes it much more useful.
Yeah, it does open wide and shut pretty hard when you close it. That tell you how well build the front driver and passenger doors. I had to remind the passenger, don't close the door too hard. I wish the rear doors build just as solid as the front.
Do you find that the doors opening extra wide is actually useful? I figure that as long as the door doesn't not open far enough, it should all be the same.

I'm always afraid when doors can open wide like that that it makes it more likely that people will open the door and smash it into the parked car beside you.
I know that at least for me I see I as a major benefit. In the M it was harder to get it and out for sure.
Definitely better ingress/egress but they do swing out further so you have to be mindful when opening in a parking lot, etc.

I like the ease of getting into and out of the Q. It is just a comfortable car to get into, get out of and sit in and drive!

Yeah the same for me when I had my G as well. Props to infiniti for this one

I also noticed yesterday how far up the seats retract. I accidentally dropped an Allen wrench between my front passenger seat, but after retracting it all the way forward, I was able to easily remove everything from under the seat. Can't remember my G having that much clearance. This is nice considering how often I drop things btwn the seats!
