Grill

Looks Great ! how labor intensive was it to make all the cuts on the grill? Splitter looks excellent as well.

Oh yeah we planned it out and everything ;)

It was a pretty big pain in the ass to do honestly, no idea how Tony managed to do it one man by himself, guess hes just a lot better when it comes to vinyl. The cutting was fairly easy, its was getting the vinyl to wrap to the contours and the corners without creases, that took a lot of patience. Theres also some water bubbles that will evaporate in over the next day but nothing major.

Looking good as always!

I only decided to do mine today because I had time to kill while waiting for the family on a lazy morning. Took about an hour and finished just as my wife was wondering where I was at as she peeked into the garage.

Let me know if you get around to doing the rear in vinyl. Not sure how it will look with the raised lettering.

Im thinking about doing the back, I could easily do the bottom arch, but im not sure I could pull off the top arch with the lettering.
Whats your idea heat it up real good and mold it quickly?

I was thinking that, but don't know if it is worth it to me to remove the dip yet. I'd only try it with some vinyl primer. Maybe one day on a whim.

If i could pull off the letters i'd do it tonight after seeing how well the gloss black blends with the paint. It'd be pretty cool to have the chrome pieces just blend in with the paint. Be easy if i chose to cut the chrome raised letters out but i want it all black.

Looks great man. gotta try wrapping mine again, hopefully this time i'll get it right.
BTW did you tint your emblem?
Thanks man, no my emblem is still chrome, the picture just made it look dark sorry :p although im thinking about wrapping that up too, I'm not sure how it would look. Maybe Tony can try it first ;)

SWEET! And very clean look! I would imagine it would stand out a little more on any other color. Would love to see a Graphite Shadow with a grill wrapped like this.

I vote leave the emblem chrome for a LITTLE contrast. To me when people black out the emblem it makes the car look naked and too aftermarket. But that's just me.

Theres a pretty done up Q50s graphite shadow on bc racing coilovers and bc forged wheels, unfortunately hes not on the forum, but he does have all his chrome wrapped black including emblems.

I actually did a test piece on raised letters of a vick's humidifier today. They are about 1/8 inch tall and close together. I was able to get it down with just a slight bubble in one spot. I would imagine the Infiniti letters would be easier, but the worrying part if is they would pull up over time. I'll live with it in dip unless someone shows some positive results. If mine were not already dipped, I'd do it and see how it would hold up.
