That's been going on in Maryland for a while.

governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it
Thomas Jefferson

No man is good enough to govern another man without that other's consent.
Abraham Lincoln

Tyranny is always better organized than freedom.
Charles Peguy

Wherever you have an efficient government you have a dictatorship.
Harry S Truman

Our government... teaches the whole people by its example. If the government becomes the lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy.
Louis Brandeis

A government that is big enough to give you all you want is big enough to take it all away.

Flagrant disregard of Constitutional Rights is becoming the hallmark of the modern police force, and is frequently upheld by courts in some absurdist view of legitimacy. They want to record everything we do, yet attack citizens who dare to legally document their own actions. Ad to that the litany of criminal acts committed daily ( see policemisconduct.net), and the militarization of the police force [arming with belt-fed machine guns, MRAP heavy armored vehicles, and massive swat team units conducting warrantless searches of homes (after the Boston Marathon Bombings, and look up Jose Gurena)], and I say to you "the police state isn't coming... it's already here.
