THAT is the question!!

The dealership is pushing the purchase of Zurich Shield to add to my interior and exterior Q50. Stated it can be added every year or as needed, unlike the Xzilon that I have on my G37. They demonstrated the protection with a pen mark and it did seem to make a big difference!

So I'm wondering if the cost is worth it. I'm not sure of the actual cost but he said it breaks down to about $17/month. I'm assuming that was for a 36 month lease so it should be less per month for me since I'm purchasing. Is it something I should have done at the dealership, or something that is cheaper if done elsewhere, or just not something that is needed at all?

the best way to answer this is to look at your track record.....how dirty does your interior get? do you have pen marks all over he car?

considering you dont own the car and returning it after 3 years....id say its not worth the expense for the interior.....probably not for exterior either

I am actually purchasing the car not leasing it. However, I do not have any ink marks or marks of any kind on my stone leather seating. I'm single and no kids so there aren't a lot of times I have a pen outside of my purse.

THANKS!! But................I did choose a color but now I'm trying to change my order from Sports to Premium because I didn't realize those awful stripes on the Sports seats! Of course I haven't heard from the rep yet.

I believe some threads say there are no stripes. I must've missed when this issue was resolved (or at least pics of them as proof were posted). What are these "stripes"? Do you just mean the contrast stitching?

Oh that! Hmm.. doesn't bother me as much, but I see how it might bother other people. Does it bother you so much that you'd rather do without the exterior looks of the Sport?

Sadly it does!! I love the plushness of the leather seats but those stripes just seem a little less (maybe more than a little less) luxurious. I know myself well enough to know that I will curse them every time I get in my car and see those ugly stripes. Ahhh

And unfortunately it is much more noticeable and unattractive in the lighter leather color options!! I may not mind it AS MUCH in the black. If ONLY I liked the black. ha

SNAP CRACKLE AND POP!! Maybe I should lease my car (Q50Aggie has been helping me determine if it's my best option) and just go with the black leather in the Sports. That way I won't have to deal with the black long term (buying) and it will still look well kept by the end of my lease.

I guess I see what you are talking about, but to me it is not stripes, but more of the design of the seats...they look fine to me.

To me it makes the seats look less black and more gray....even worse than black!!!!
