Hey yall, has anyone upgraded their infotainment system on their 2015 to have android auto? If so, what head unit/modules did you have to upgrade to
What issues do you have with it?I'm 100% happy with the 85% that I am happy with. lol. Yup. I think I paid closer to $400-$500 and got free installation since they are relatively local. They even threw in a free dash cam but I can't use it with my little Lithium battery as it drains the battery when parked for too long. Hopefully it wouldn't drain a full size battery.
Does it kicks out only when you close to obstacle or after reverse camera as well?I guess my biggest complaint is I listen to radio and CDs more than I do 'Aux' so I have to rely on the little external speaker for Waze alerts. I can't hear the darn thing! Also, a few little annoying things like if you get too close to an object where your sonar would alert you, it kicks you out of Android Auto and you have to click the Map button to go back.
Sorry, didn't get what you mean by phone connected to aux.No, after Reverse (--> Drive), it will go back to AA.
Sound quality is fine if you are using Aux for phone source.
I do miss the lower info bar of the upper screen.
Ok, so looks like you have older version of Unavi. Below is screenshot, they use Ipod port now.If you want to have the Android Auto sound (music, waze alerts, etc.) come out your car speakers, you put the car's input to Aux. My problem is I mostly listen to CDs or car radio so I don't select Aux. Then, the waze alerts come out the little external speaker which I can't hear.
