I like it. I am not of the same thought as the majority of members here that the OEM system is a "true" cold air intake. To me, if the filter/filter box sits in the engine bay, it's not true cold air.
I would say your system is true cold air!
Do you have to remove the bumper cover/grill every time you want to clean/replace the filters?

Yes i have to remove the bumper to change the filter but its worth it for that sound

I never had the hks filters on, just the k&n fit better in the bumper sides, so couldn't tell ya

i have problems with mine tho .stock the car runs perfect. as soon as i turn on my jb4 the car runs bad. from a launch or low rpm wot its fine. past 3.5k rpm its ****** up .if i try to do a 40 roll car starts jerking and popping like crazy afrs shoot to like 19-23, feels like rolling 2step. once it gets past that bullshit it flies.

I have the same intake as emzplax, I shorted it a little to be in the bumper, and switched the filters to k&n it works great!

was there any difference between the hks and k&n filters?

install was about 6 hours ....8/10
very tight engine bay hard to reach clamps .
had to take out the passenger headlight.

im not tuned so no dyno numbers, but throttle response is much better.
sound is insane. crazy spool and flutter sounds. on upshifts it make a PSHHHH bov sound. ill record a video tonight
