Decided to spruce up the interior a bit with a updated 2023+ Red Stitched Red Sport shift knob and matching Red Stitched Shift Boot.

I like the feel of the new updated knob due to its flat head vs the rounded one of my 2017 had. Easier to rest hand on the new knob.

Overall, very easy install except the part where I dropped the u-clip for the shift knob right into the shifter assy. Nothing a chopstick and some chewed up gum couldn't grab. Then I ended up dropping one of the bolts for the trim putting it back together. Ended up underneath the carpet and the metal transmission brace. This time, a chopstick with gum did not work, had to run out to the hardware store and get a magnetic pick up tool (life saver).

Included PN#'s as well if you want to do this to your own

Has anyone 3M PPF their shift knob? I'm thinking of doing that to protect the black part from scratches.

Just replace the damn thing when it's worn. It's about $120. Use hand moisturizer. It's got more than one purpose.

Looks good, not sure I'd bother with PPF looks a bit beat up and nicked already but that could just be the lighting. But yeah gloss piano black is the worst thing to keep clean and scratch free. If it bugs you worth a shot though not like 3M PPF Film is expensive.
