AC Amplifier?

Hey All, brought the car in (2017 q50) because the gas gauge seems to be all over the place and the engine light on. Went and got a new float level sender, the one under the rear seat and replaced it. Engine light went off for a while but after a fill up it went back on, and fuel levels are still no good. Both sending units (old and new) tested the same so pretty sure that isnt the issue at this point. Brought it to the dealer for a diag, they said it was the "AC Amplifier" and that its $1450 to replace. They wont tell me the part number or anything else, which kind of chaps my ass. When I do a search on that phrase all I find are stereo amps and air conditioning parts.
Thanks for any input!

Avedis53 I couldnt agree more and its why I walked away, and didnt spend the $1400. I think they are full of it and dont know what they are talking about. Im familiar with it having two sensors, but I only did one due to availability. They are both cheap so seem like the way to go. Tomorrow Ill pull out the tablet and do an actual real diag.
