Hi all! I just started having an issue where all audio sources seem to be disabled. The vehicle is a '17 Premium w/ nav and Bose, electrically stock. Sunday everything worked, Monday morning, nada. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info regarding this specific scenario, but the symptoms are identical to the vehicle in this thread. There was never any follow-up in that thread, but the basic conclusion seemed to be that the AV control unit or wiring had failed. My navigation and backup cam work so I think DCU is out of the question. I took the console apart to get the part number for my unit since there are several different variants. I didn't have my meter on me to probe power but I did check the kick panel fuses, I tried pressing the power button as if it were powered off, I tried holding it down for the reset and I disconnected the battery overnight to no avail. I'm pretty sure this is a hardware problem.

Here is my question, I know that the DCU can get flashed to match options, but is that the case with the AVCU? As long as I get a matching part number I should be be able to drop the new one in assuming it's not harness related issue?

Yes, that's the thread I linked that had no follow-up as far as a fix.

I'm just trying to verify whether or not an identical part number on the AVCU would be a direct drop in without any programming.

It's all good, I just ordered a replacement with an identical part number for $37 shipped. The donor AVCU came from a car with matching options so I'll try my luck with the swap and see what happens. I'm hoping it's not a harness issue.

Go buy a lottery ticket while your luck is holding out.
