I've recently bought a 2014 q50.

When I'm braking the drivers seat moves forward and back.

Its like in older cars that the seat wasn't clicked into place.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks

Well, I guess I was not the only one! The seat base needed to be replaced. I was told the parts cost alone was $2500.00. Glad I bought that extended warranty! My cost, $0

It could be that the seat wasn't torqued down enough from the factory and simply came loose from vibrations over-time. Grab a wrench and torque down the bolts around the
seat, you can access them by moving it all the way forwards/back.

If that doesn't work it could be a few other things but its easy enough to check the above.

Just got a 2014 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid AWD last year with this problem. Spent awhile trying to figure it out with no luck online so had to mess around in person and turns out that the fix is super easy. On the front of both tracks is a small motor. In the middle of the motor is a small nut(7mm). Put the seat all the way back and lift it up for easier view then tighten them down.
Note that the seat won't wiggle in the far back position, so move it forward to test.
P. S. NO NEED TO REMOVE ANY TRIM PIECES. I made that mistake.

Actually, if I remember correctly there was a service bulliten on this. I think it simply involved a large flat washer behind the nut. Maybe someone here can find it. I'm too lazy.

Maybe this helps – it's not directly 2014, but...
