The second pull was a 5th gear pull IIRC

I was a little surprised about the weight being lower than advertised?

Also, this was an awd vehicle dynoed on a 2wd dyno, so being able to do that is pretty cool.

Nice, that’s about the same as what many got on 4th gear pull.

The weight is correct for premium / luxe vr30 models.

That's one thing I like about this car, you can run it in 2wd mode by disconnecting a connector. I saw someone do it on the internet in a youtube video and wasn't sure until I tried it myself. I should have drove the car around like that, but I didn't think of it.

If I purchase it, I will put a switch on the dash somewhere to allow me to do it on the fly. When you unplug the connector, you lose your speedometer and cause a speedometer code also, as it has 4 wires in the connector I'd have to go through the electrical schematic to see which wire of the 4 in the 16 pin connector it is. It looks like the attached connector and is in the trunk above the rear drivers wheel well. I'm surprised ecutek doesn't have a dyno mode where they disconnect it electronically.

Hi could you please tell me how you were able to Dyno an AWD on a RWD machine, thanks and come up with 291 whp.

Is this site wrong on other q50 weights?

Specifically I'm interested to know what a 3.0 sport awd model will weigh? That site says 3929 pounds, but it also said my rental (3.0 awd luxe) should weigh 3884 pounds. That's roughly a 250 pound difference from what the scales said! In the right direction too!

Scale is one thing to consider, another is the website only covers large packages and not all the options and configurations of the car.
Also silly question are you subtracting your weight out of the total?

Are your scales properly calibrated?

Love the garage set up. What are your thoughts on the Q so far? You definitely going to get one?
Thanks, it needs a good cleaning and purging of things I don't need anymore, but it is nice to have. I'm pretty sure I'm getting one when the right car comes along.

No I'm not in the car, if you look at the picture that's what it weighed on the scales when I let it down off of the lift. I did a calibration with the manufacturer to make sure they were accurate and the manufacturer said they were within spec?

Of course I would own the the variant of the Q50 over 4k lbs... sigh.

Every time I want to bitch about having to cut weight for a fight, I will look at this website and remind myself that both me and my car are too fat.
Hmm put the car on a diet - titanium cat-back exhaust, lightweight rotors/rims and lithium battery? Easy like 60-70lbs right there :)

I only glanced at the one where you weighed the car for the weight, didn't notice it was out of the car so touche. lol

why would you even put a FMIC when its water to air intercooled? wouldnt make sense thats why there is larger heat exchangers

The air to air would be to replace the factory air to water, but with the way the core support is packaged, it isn't practical.

I prefer an air to air on a street car when given the choice and both options being feasible. It would make perfect sense if the packaging was feasible but it isn't after investigating, hence my original comment.

Ohh man, it has been a while. Dude, it is not anymore a secret that the manufacturers lowe the official stats of their cars, just take a look also at the european manufacturers. A friend of mine bought a merced e class 43 amg from 2016, it sais that it has 400 hp. When we got it dynoed, we got 445hp, pretty good. I also had such a situation, with a 2016 q60s. So it had the 3.0 L VR30DDTT twin-turbo V6 400 hp engine. I rented it while i was traveling in the Eastern Europe, as i remember i was in Ukraine at that moment. So i decided to rent a q60, and i found one at Car Rental in Kharkiv - Cheap & Best car hire | NarsCars. So it also says that it has 400 hp, however i was really interested to see the real numbers, it was like 458 hp, do you even imagine!

The paper spec'd 400hp for VR30 is neither the power at the wheels nor at the crank, it's somewhere in between. That said, the 400hp number is mildly underrated. The 300hp on the other hand is almost true to the wheel power.

458 hp? That doesn't make much sense typically the 400HP versions dyno in around 370-375 at the wheel. Or 420-430hp at the crank.
Unless there is some strange conversion going on?
