so whilst i was changing my start/stop auxiliary battery in the boot of my q50 2.2d (2016)- i thought it would be a good idea to start the car without that battery in... obviously i was welcomed with a host of error messages and car would not start.
so i completed the replacement and then started the car and now all works perfectly well.... which is great
however, that probably triggered an error code which means i have the constant "open bonnet" error light that has lit up....
this blinks 3 times when i start the car and then stays on forever whilst i drive around... it never turns off (unless i turn the car off obviously!!)
i tried the different manipuations given online (i.e. press start two times, when it blinks wait 7 sec and turn car off and then do that again and again and again and again...) - probably like 30/40 times to no luck
i then bought myself an obd ii bluetooth reader and got torque up and running which found no error codes
anyone know how and if it is possible to get rid of this light without putting masking tape on it, or without having to go to the dealership (of which there are no more in the uk lol...)
