Hey guys, I am experiencing some vibration while my car is at idle whether im in park or in drive. Ill be at a stoplight & the car begins to shake inconsistently, oddly enough the needle doesnt move up or down while the car shakes. It can be felt alot more with cold starts. I took it in to the dealer at Downey where i initially got the car & they stated "all redsports" do the same thing. Doubt it but just looking to see if i should really be concerned. Are you guys experiencing the same issue? Car is a 2017 Q50 RS with 8,800 miles. Got the car at 7,100 miles and has been doing the same thing ever since.

I have a 2017 Q50 RS (RWD) too. I've had it new and it's at 3500 miles. I haven't experienced any vibrations/shaking like how you have described.

It could be a shot motor mount (total guess). But the car is still relatively new, so its motor mount shouldn't already be shot.

Do you know of the car's pre-7100-mile history?

Post a vid with those symptoms and maybe somebody else could chime in better than me.

I asked the salesperson the day I bought it if they had maintenance records and they claimed they did but never got to show me the proof & im still hassling the dealership about it. I'd be pretty concerned if maintenance was never done on it. Its hard for the shaking/vibration to translate onto video as it cant really be heard but mostly felt. Ill make another appointment with a different dealership and see what they conclude about the situation. I figured it was abnormal but they claimed no codes so it should be "fine"

To my knowledge, there shouldn't really be any maintenance records for a 7,100 mileage Q50 RS because the first maintenance item should be at 10,000 miles for its first oil change.

Let us know what the other dealership's diagnostic is.

Ya, I'll pull back on the silly comment and state that mine doesn't vibrate in any way that would lead me to believe it's not within the normal realm of operational spectrum. It hums, periodically; and even drones a touch now and then, and sometimes my keys need reseating in the drink cup holders as they jangle/vibrate, but as far as the car physically vibrating - noticeably - no. Not at all.

But about yer wife.... :D

I took mine in for the seat rattle. Dealer just re-bolted the seat.Didn't fix it.Plus the rental they gave me 2017 silver sport, did exactly the same thing. So I have some old winter gloves, stuffed 1 1\2 inch thick foam board inside each of the gloves and wedged 1on the left side at the seat and center council and 1 at the left back of seat wedged between left side and center council. Rattle 95% gone! The gloves with the foam in them you don't really notice them because there wedged pretty far down.

Hopefully someone else will chime in here. Jairon95 hasn't posted here for 2 years. I'm thinking engine mounts may be your problem.

My 3.5 also had vibration @50k miles, was a faulty injector...
