Does it run on trash, like Doc Brown’s deLorean?
Speaking of DeLorean...here's the teaser for their supposedly upcoming concept EV to be revealed on August 18th of this year. Will it ever be produced? I doubt it.

Full flush (or a 3 X drain and fill) is required if you go full interval before changing out the fluid. I would consider a full interval to be 50k-60k miles on this car and the Nissan Fluid. Not sure what the official maintenance schedule has for it. May be a "good for the life of the car" interval, which will be a self fulfilling prophesy!

Anyway, those who want to keep it simple can do a single drain and refill every say 15-20k miles and that would keep the fluid fresh in the gearbox in perpetuity.
I'm at 23K miles and at my next oil change, I'm going to have the ATF drained and refilled.

Cost. The stealership was going to charge me almost double for the full flush vs "just" a 7 qt drain & refill. With this transmission fluid to be supposed "lifetime fluid", if I have the drain & refill performed periodically, say every 30k miles, that should keep the transmission performing at its best for as long as I own my Q.
If you ever decide to sell your Q60, let me know.

Unless you have a late year 1st-gen Dodge Caravan with some go-fast goodies installed on the 2.5L I4 Turbo::devilish:

We had one of those back in the 80's. Used to haul my Hobie Cat with it to regattas and sleep in the back.
