Rear seat belts warning while nobody is sitting - 2023 cars

I called Infiniti service telling them that 3 red exclamation signs appear when I start driving, even though nobody is sitting there, then go off in 1-1.5 minutes. They scheduled a service. I brought the car. The mechanic tested it and said that it is normal for all new 2023 Infiniti cars.
I doubt pretty much that it is normal; warnings supposed to appear only when the occupancy sensor senses somebody sitting there.
Is it a bug, or a feature?

Press the left or right scrolling menu buttons and the warning screen goes away. Woo life goes on

I have a 2023 Q50 luxe and also have the red exclamation marks seatbelt thing. It goes away within a minute or so though. If the lights remained on for longer, I would consider it more of a problem.

I assume the RS would have the top trim, in all areas, but, having bought it new in '21, I have, not once, seen a rear seatbelt alarm...the majority of the time (95%+) the belts are unbuckled. (Rare that I have back seat passengers.) Same with '18 SS.

That being said...

When the inside of the car is cleaned (in for Zactec treatment or just 'regular', when allowed by me, after service), I have noticed that all back seatbelts are buckled....same with '18 SS. 100% of the time. I just figured it was to 'look tidy.'

So with one, some, or all, but never mine - buckled or unbuckled, but not occupied - I think we may have landed on, yet another, Infinity manufacturing inconsistency.

Read your manual. Page 2-12:

The seat belt warning light for the rear passengers (common with the warning light for the driver and front passenger) will illuminate whenever the ignition switch is placed in the ON position, and will remain illuminated for approximately 65 seconds unless all the rear passenger’s seat belts are fastened (even if the rear seats are not occupied). The warning light for the rear passengers will turn off when all the rear seat belts are fastened or the rear seat belt warning on the vehicle information display turns off after approximately 65 seconds. (If other warning interrupts the rear seat belt warning, the warning will be paused. After the warning resumes, it will continue to appear until a combined total of 65 seconds pass.) See “33. Rear seat belt warning” (P.2-24).

Page 2-24:

33. Rear seat belt warning This warning appears after the ignition switch is placed in the ON position. If any of the rear passenger’s seat belts is not fastened, the rear seat belt warning will be displayed in red to show which seat belt is not fastened (even if the rear seats are not occupied). The seat icon illuminates in red until the corresponding rear passenger’s seat belt is fastened. The warning will automatically turn off after approximately 65 seconds. (If other warning interrupts the rear seat belt warning, the warning will be paused. After the warning resumes, it will continue to appear until a combined total of 65 seconds pass.) The seat icon will turn green if the passenger is buckled. If a rear passenger seat belt is fastened then unfastened at a vehicle speed less than approximately 10 MPH (15 km/h), the rear seat belt warning will appear. When the vehicle speed exceeds approximately 10 MPH (15 km/h), the rear seat belt warning will appear and the chime will sound. The warning will turn off when the unfastened rear passenger seat belt is fastened again or automatically turn off in approximately 65 seconds (combined total). For precautions on seat belt usage, see “Seat belts” (P.1-12
