Recommened DCU Replacement

I'm purchasing a 2015 Q50 base AWD sedan and neither the top nor bottom screen works correctly. The top one works SOMETIMES with the backup camera (see pic), but the bottom one never works. Each has the back lit glow but neither display shows text.

My local dealership is recommending that replace the Display Control Unit (is this the right acronym?) for about $3500.

1. Which part, specifically, is that? Top screen? Bottom with climate? Behind?
2. Is there a more cost effective repair?
3. If I get this done by a repair shop or at home, does Infiniti need to program anything?
4. Can I replace both screen screens with a single large aftermarket "tesla-like" screen? Will everything work? eg. radio, climate, backup camera, etc?
5. Any additional info would be great!

TY!

Worked perfectly. I’m not under warranty and both screens went out and Infiniti told me it would $180 diagnostic. So I instead did the research on here Lucky93 helped me find my part number for a replacement DCU with my VIN (not sure how he gets the information) you can also take your infotainment apart to get the number off the back of your original. I wanted to try the SD card swap but my car did not have an SD slot so I just swapped the entire unit and it worked perfectly. Just have to figure out how to reset the date now. If you’re nervous about doing it, don’t be. You can find a replacement for less than it’s going to cost Infiniti to tell you you’re going to have to pay $4000 more. Thank you all SO MUCH

I put my vin number on the parts site and I got this. Mine is 2015 q50 with bose and nav

Part Number: 25391-4HB4B
Supersession(s): 25391-4HB2B; 253914HB4B

but i don't find any parts on ebay with either 25391 (mostly start with 28xx) nor 4HB2B or 2HB4B.

what do you suggest?

like there is this part 283874HB0A for a 2014 Q50 with Nav (asked about bose haven't heard back yet). What do I need to focus on the part numner or should I just do trial and error. Thank you

You've already started another thread asking the same question. Please don't create multiple posts about the same topic. It dilutes responses and makes it harder for others to follow.

I'm having the same issue as op neither screen works but backlit and backup camera works without the guide lines the majority of the time. Can someone help me identify the correct DCU part number or let me know the easiest place to look up this info. VIN is JN1EV7AR7HM830883. 2017 3.0 premium with nav.

There's several DCUs w/nav for sale on eBay. Just make sure you get one that has navigation. You might get lucky and not need to have the DCU configured for your car but if it does require reconfiguration, you'll have to take the car to a dealership to have the DCU configured.

Yes, it does as well as the rest of these configuration settings which must be configured to your car with a CONSULT diagnostic tool that your Infiniti dealership has:

I need help fixing backup camera issue after change of DCU

Hi house, I replaced the dcu unit of my 2016 q50 2.0t base with navigation, Bose and backup camera without sensor and around camera.

After installation the unit backup camera work/ doesn’t interrupt the map screen like it should, but when I checked setting I don’t see camera and now I see sonar in setting which my car is not equipped with.

All setting and car controls works just fine aside the backup camera function.

Thank you in advance
