So thanks to the help that I received from this very same forum, I now have a working right tail light and tag light.

However, when I turn the car on I cannot shift it from Park to Drive and I get the System Malfunction error along with several other error messages. Could I have accidentally unplugged or messed up something in the IPDM oh when I had to access it yesterday to replace the fuse?

You did not state you had a 2.0t version of the car in your previous post. You're lucky the IPDM E/R layout is similar and fuse #60 is in the same location as the VR30 variant.

It could be that your stop lamp switch in the brake pedal assembly isn't sending a signal to allow you to shift. I don't suppose you have access to an OBDII code reader. That would sure help if you could list any DTCs that come up.

Is that a separate switch from the one that illuminated the stop lamps? I think I remember this topic from the past...two separate switches. It's not as simple as just looking to see if the brake lights work.

Some OBDII codes would be nice as well as pictures of all the errors being displayed.

The stop lamp switch is off until the brake pedal is pressed. It sends a signal to the ABS actuator and electric control unit. The brake pedal position switch is on until the brake pedal is pressed. It sends a signal to the ECM. The ECM compares the two to see if they are in agreement.
