That's a real nice look. unique.
Here is mine without the cut out.
What percent tint do you have on the taillights and do you mind me asking how much it ran you? I'm thinking about doing it on my Q50 but I'm a little nervous about gaining any "unwanted attention" and having to take it off. I like the look of the tinted taillights, but don't really care for tintinf my windows much.

I have no idea what % the tint is. sorry. I told my hommie not to black it out but not too light either. i figure 35%?
He charged me around $150. I think I gave him $180 though.
It's real thick vinyl and kept coming up at the edges so I had to bring it back the next day and he hit it with the heat gun again and laid it down. It came up a few more times but I just took care of it in my garage at home with my heat gun and squeegee set.
He did the reflectors in the bumper too.

Interesting. When I got mine done, they tinted the inside. They did not want to tint the outside. They thought what you just described would happen: They said the lettering and everything about the outside tail lights were such that they thought it would lift. They did spray the outsides with VHT nightshade I beleive and they tinted the inside that was on the trunk. On the invoice they call it Medium Shade. I gave similar directions as you did. I did not want them so dark one deserves to get rear ended because they can't even see that you have lights. The lights shine through great.

On my reflectors, they just wrapped them in Gloss Black.

As a sidenote @DVC415 , I thought you were actually doing it all yourself. I thought you were just that multitalented. Instead, you are just left with talent and great taste. hahaha

**** that looks good!!!

How did you do the chrome strips on your trunk?
I've been redoing mine over and over trying to get it right. yours look super clean. did I ask you this already? I ask everyone. I don't see any "tenting" in the lettering if it's vinyl.
I may have to have a pro do mine with some extra adhesive cuzI just can't seem to get it perfect.
Vinyl work is hard as $hit.

That diffuser looks great too. really adds to the rear end. I didn't think it would make a difference on mine but now that I see it I want it!

**** EDIT*** Nevermind. Just looked through your album and it says right there that you painted the top and wrapped the bottom. guess I should do my research before I post. Your car is sick. I need to do some more work. I think it would look sicker with the whole door handle black instead of just the chrome strip but that's just my opinon...
Everything else is ON POINT though!!!

Funny you should say that...>All of that. (and this thread has officially been highjacked - @antodiazQ lights are awesome the way he highlighted the lights with his tinting. I love that).

I was going to point yours out how you had wrapped the entire handle instead of just the chrome inserts. It looks good. I think it is unique. I have seen most with just the accent. I like might. But yours is a good look.

It was painted as you saw. They said there was no way they could cover that without it tenting. They knew I would just be coming back with complaints about that. I was also interested in having more of it painted than wrapped. They talked me out of that. They said I would be happier with wrapping than painting because the wrapping wouldn't ship at all as some of the paint could.

I need to stop by there for some other stuff...Over at Fantazy Motorsports in Thousand Oakes (no problem giving them a little shoutout). I was talking about plugging the key whole with vinyl as well. That is the only chrome left. They doubt it will adhere well....But they are going to give it a try. I wonder if I should ask him about painting it......perhaps.
