Okay that looks really bada$$....what happens in a parking lot with speed bumps or a road with potholes? Can the air actually lift up the suspension like it does in my Rover? Is that where this is going?

500+ posts. You gotta be fcking with us right?

I mean, he could be doing this...

No man, I'm not fcuking with you. Listen, I've only ever owned 4x4s. To me lowering a car is new territory and how to do go about doing so is even more foreign. So please pardon my fcuking ignorance!

Okay. Sorry man. I don't want to be a dick. I am not all that well versed in all these mods myself.

All the parts and pieces have not arrived, but had to take advantage of the three day weekend at home and start cutting the mdf board to start the trunk setup.

The top mdf cover will have (4) 45 degree cuts to allow me to access everything in the wheel well by only taking out one piece of mdf. This same piece will also house the plexi.

In the first picture here there's a black metal bar that runs across the bottom of the trunk. Did you just unscrew that and take it out? I've got the spare tire package as well and didn't want it at all but it came with the car. I thought it would just be easy to take the tire and extra foam inserts out and it would be just like a car without that package but then the dealer pointed out the metal bar. They seemed reluctant to just take it out and I wasn't sure if it could just be removed or if something was attached under the trunk that would get messed up if I removed it. Did you find anything out about this or just take it out and no problems? Your trunk build looks great so far though. Once winter is over i will be doing a similar build but just for audio. I would love to do the air setup but it seems very involved and expensive.

I am in the market to upgrade my Q50, stillen cat back is the way to go. I am just curious if you noticed any difference with the intake system they provide.

@Fasteswarning & @houm_wa not sure if you two are being serious or not, but this look can be accomplished in two ways. Either with coilovers or with an air ride system. The compressors allow me to supply air to my 5 gallon tank which will store the air that is then fed through to the bags.

I am running two compressors not only to fill up the tank faster but for the benefit that of the unlikely event that a compressor fails, that I wont be left without any means to fill the air tank.

You can unscrew if it you would like to and take it out, but I am not sure what kind of support /brace it provides to the car or if any at that. The spare tire is standard in all cars, if you want to remove the foam you will lose the support underneath for the cover you have on top. I am keeping the foam because i want some of the OEM pieces used as a support to my mdf that I will be laying on top.

But if you need the room for your audio system you plan on using then its easy to remove it all. Good luck with your setup, post some pictures when you start the progress.

The air ride can get involved and could get pricey, but you could always do your own work.

Plus Im sure if you have any questions bagriders or some people on the forums would be happy to give you some advice.

This is my first air ride system for my personal car, but not my first install.

You mean you don't know either?!?!?!
Uh, I in fact do know. I don't know how someone could spend much time in this forum not think its was for bagging his ride.

I was trying to be conciliatory, feeling bad for being sarcastic, saying its not like am a mod expert.

Thanks for absolving me of all guilt with your reply.

So....I wasn't wrong....right?

Hahahahaha....in your face, @Fateswarning

Allow me to retort.

In my face? How do you figure?

What do you mean you weren't wrong? What was your assertion? You said you excuse your ignorance.

I, being a sarcastic smart azz, said it was for bouncing like a low rider, a nail gun or perhaps for making his car look the one in the picture I posted, i.e., bagging his ride.

He said it was for bagging his ride so I wasn't wrong, right?

I said sorry for being a d!ck about it but after your inane in your face comment, I no longer am. Thanks.

I'm fine with you being a sarcastic smart azz and while I appreciated your easing off, it wasn't necessary. I'm a big boy, I can handle getting my chops busted.

What I mean by "I wasn't wrong" is that he is in fact using it for an air suspension. That's what I initially said when you noted my post-count and asked if I was serious. Perhaps you asked that question because it didn't seem obvious enough to me. That is where my ignorance would come in, I suppose.

Now, the "in your face" comment was meant to be light-hearted. I know that text doesn't convey tone, so I can understand it being taken another way. Not my intention.

The assembly line is full and waiting to get mounted on the Scale Suspension Struts! The struts are one of a kind with an exclusive patented scaled system laser-engraved straight on the struts.

In order to get the top board sitting the way I wanted and to be secure in the back of the trunk I had to start stacking wood like Sadistic Iron Werks and rid the foam from the trunk!
