Why did you remove your paddles if those just snap on? I may reconsider those after seeing the better picture but will wait to hear what you think about them.

@Avedis53

No I didn't remove the paddles.

Those are his paddles he uses to check fitment b4 shipping. He wanted me to confirm that those were the correct OEM paddles I have on my Q50.

I told him you MAY be interested in a set.

Install is a matter of just snapping them on.

I could be crazy but I'd swear that the paddles are different in my '19 Q50S. The ones pictured look taller and a different color. Was there a change for 2019-2020 models?

Those are RedSport Paddle Shifters. They are indeed larger and different color. They are probably interchangeable though.

Looking at some of the ebay listings they are shown that they are the same application parts. Huuummm....

OK...I'll order a pair.

Hopefully you put a note in there saying they are the same as my replacements. I think he thinks that the Q50RS paddles are different than the Q60RS paddles. He originally told me after I sent him the dimensions of my paddles I ordered the wrong ones; that I should have ordered the Q60 paddles..so I emailed him a picture.. then he sent me the pic of the paddles off the steering wheel next to the extenders to verify the replacement extenders.

I just want you to get the correct ones the first time, unlike me.

I referenced your name and the fact that I had the same 2018 RS as you so hopefully he can figure it out.

The guy who makes these is on eBay. Link:

One thing I've noticed with these extended length paddle shifters is that they flex enough if you press with only one finger on the very top or bottom of the paddle, it won't shift. If you use two or more fingers anywhere on the paddle they will work. Minor issue but worth knowing if that's a deal-breaker.

They are well constructed and look nice though. I like them.

I wish my 2018 Q50RS AWD had the colum mounted paddles my G37IPL had. That way the paddles are on the same side regardless of how far you turn the steering wheel.

To me the wheel mounted paddles are to short, especially if you use a "10 2" hold. You can "just" reach them with your pinky finger.

I have these extenders on order:

where are these extenders from?

@phantomvr30 on insta has the first 21 or 22 with column mounted shifters also has a VR30 he told me it’s possible just $$$

Yesterday I installed the OEM Paddle Shifters in my 2018 Q50. My car did not come with the Performance Package, so even though it is a Sport and has the Sport Bumpers and Interiors, it is more close to a Luxe. The kit usually costs $250 with shipping, but with all the COVID-19 issues I paid $275 to get it shipped faster. kit includes:
1. OEM Right Paddle
2. OEM Left Paddle
3. Cutting Template for the back steering wheel cover
4. Custom Wiring Harness.

To be able to get this installed you will need:
1. Dremel tool with cutter wheel and sanding bit.
2. Drill.
3. Step Drill Bit that allows you to make a 6mm diameter hole and a 12 mm diameter hole.
4. #2 Phillips Screw Driver.
5. Prying Tool.
6. 19mm socket to remove Steering Wheel.
7. Small Screwdriver set for electronics.

I will not include any videos in this thread since the seller sends you pictures, and videos you can follow to get this done. I would give it a difficulty rsting of 6/10 with the most difficult part being depining two wires on one of the clockspring connectors.

Link to the item is below:

Hello !

Does you have a scanned pattern (instructions) for cutting a hole in the rear steering wheel cover? Or suggest where I can download them?

I do not have the template. The seller sent me the template already printed and it's a 1 time use.
