For those of you who have replaced your OEM belt with the Gates belt, did your belt alignment remain the same or did it change? After my belt change, it looks about 0.25 mm under the 3.5 mm recommendation. The belt range indicator is all the way to the left edge of the new drive belt range.
Adjusting the A/C compressor will require pulling out the bank 2 air cleaner body, cover and air duct. removing the belt, and recovering the refrigerant before disconnecting the high pressure hose from the compressor because it has to be moved out of way to access the rear compressor mounting bolt.
If I was sure there was some adjustment left to push the compressor further back, I'd be more receptive to going through having this done as it will cost a fair amount to do. I really don't want to go through the hassle of a 5-hour round trip to the Infiniti dealership plus repair time at the dealership after listening to them bitch about having my local dealership installing the belt. I'd rather pay to have it done locally then them do it under warranty.
