You connect the hardware to where the bottom plug in the OCC is located as he stated, running the hose down by your oil pan and locate the ball valve there. Open the ball valve and drain the OCC during an oil change.
Oh. I didn't know there was a "bottom plug". ?

In theory it would work, but there's not much room for the hose to run towards the bottom of the engine without touching something hot or melting the hose on the turbo etc.

Another consideration is the accumulation of sludge that builds up inside the hose over a period of time, requiring "maintenance" to keep it open. I run vented dual catch cans on my HD, and swab out the attaching hoses whenever draining the cans (3 times a year).

you can easily running along the side of the rad, just tucked in red marked area, just tie them down to the side with wire ties or a adhesive cable clip mount ->

The green circled area, is another way straight down, just harder to place the valve at the end since you have to come back into engine bay. There is a drain hole there if you want to direct that as the catch can drain end.

you can still run drain hose to the front, you'll just have to run long and sloped.:) Since you're running the lines upward, have you checked if there's water the lowest part of the line and traps at the lowest point. My lines are all sloped downwards to my catch cans

Additionally, this is a good place to check for contaminants in your oil. If you see metal flakes, excessive dirt, fuel, water, bunnies, whatdafukeva. If you have things that shouldn't be in your oil, then your next step is to figure out why, or take it to the dealer and say, "My oil sparkles like an 18 year old Vegas hooker."
Sorry for resurrecting this, but it was a good laugh. Thank you 🤣
