Passenger DRL

Hi,

I have a 2014 Infiniti Q50 Premium. My daytime running light for the passenger side headlight went out two days ago. It came back for a short period of time but then went out again. The headlight works when the lights are on. The eyebrow DRL works when the headlight was on, the regular DRL does not when the headlight is on.

I checked the fuse box that is under the hood by the front driver side when you lift the cover it says the DRL fuse are there and I checked both and they look good. I have not checked the battery fuse box location yet.

What else could be an issue besides fuses that I should look at? Or should I just replace the fuses for the DRL's and try that.

I don't think you're checking the correct fuse for the passenger-side DRL. Fuse #72 (10A) protects the upper and lower DRL on the passenger side. It is located in the Fuse, Fusible Link and Relay Box that is bolted to the battery's positive terminal and also contains the DRL relay.

If fuse #72 checks out ok, then it could be the DRL relay. If the DRL relay is ok, it could be a faulty connector/wiring and if that's ok then it could be that the DRL LED has failed.
The fuse box, that is near the front of the car under the hood says the DRL relay is in there? Would this be the wrong place to look? Removing the covers and stuff around the battery I didn't really find a fuse box there maybe I didn't look in the right place, it is attached to the passenger fender?

I'm not familiar with a fuse box location near the front of the car. According to the 2014 Q50 power supply, ground and circuit element section of the service manual, I see no fuse box where you are indicating. Here is the Fuse, Fusible Link and Relay Box and fuse/relay layout with it's location on the battery's positive terminal for a 2014 Q50.

So that exact same fuse box, is located right in front of the engine on the driver side for me on my 2014 Infiniti Q50. I know my passenger side fender was hit in the past and was fixed. The headlight was not damaged nor was it replaced. Would that be a possibility that they moved the fuse box because of the fender damage? When I get home tonight I will take a picture for you where that exact fuse box is located.

I don't think the fuse box was relocated due to any accident. I'm only going by the field service manual for 2014. A picture would help. Is the internal layout of the fuse box the same as shown above?
So I got some pictures. I have replaced both drl fuses and the relay. The drl still does not work. For now I have removed both the fuses because it looks horrible with only one drl running. Could there be anything else besides replacing the light be an issue as these lights are expensive as ****.
