In an effort to stay abreast in the emerging EV market, Moscow Polytechnic University has developed their own using as few parts from the outside world as possible, with those coming from China. It actually exists in sheet metal, not just a render. Called the "Amber", I'll bet if you listened to it closely, it would whisper "Kill me now." Avtovor, a Russian automobile company, claims it will go into production in 2025.

And here I though the Tesla Model 3 was butt-ugly...

There's always the Russian favorite, the Lada, with its stylish and rakish lines:

We may be laughing now, but take a look at Nissan's newest concept EV... Debuted at the Japan Mobility Show, dubbed the "Hyper Tourer".

Someday soon there will be no way out, and a "test drive" will just consist of looking for a car whose exterior doesn't cause your lunch to come back up.

They are going to make aluminum frame and cover by composites. For now, in order to cover it somehow, they took some body parts from Lada, cut and welded it, like Dr. Frankenstein did. The result is pretty ugly and scary. This prototype they built to test the concept. They forgot Russian saying, "Never show your incomplete work to complete ignoramuses".

The "ingnoramuses" would be the ones who decided to show their "incomplete work".

That is the most Russian looking thing I've ever seen. What more would you expect from the country that made a game out of suicide (Russian roulette)? 🤣

Somehow I knew that was a Nissan concept before I read your post. I think the designers over there have been hitting the saki a little too hard lately. Have you seen the new GTR concept? They're calling it the Hyper force, but the taillights and GTR badge up front gives the game away. Someone has been playing way too much Cyberpunk 2077.

Why do I feel like this will be a California mandate in three years?
