Opps...should have not called. Isn't the insurance coverage is based on VIN #?
But, $1016 per year is still not bad at all.

OOPSY!! I just reamed my insurance agent because when I initially purchased my Q50 and called to update my insurance policy, the Q50 was not yet in their system so she simply updated it to a 2014 G37. Since I was concerned that if I was ever in an accident (my first, lord forbid), that it would be denied due to it saying my car was a G37, I called today to update my coverage.

She notified me that my insurance would increase $200 a year ($1016 annually)

YUP!! That's what she told me! I should have just hung up at that point but I didn't want to take the chance that having a VIN# with a different type of car (G37 not Q50) would cause me problems if ever an issue.

A phrase I can say entirely too often: "Me and my big mouth!!!" :D

I live in New Jersey, have no accidents for over 15 years, multi-car discount, etc.

My premium for my Q50S Hybrid is $ 1,239 per year!

Hey all,
I live in NYC, 44 yrs old, single, with a clean driving record. I pay $1250.00 per yr for my Q50. I was surprised that my policy is actually cheaper than my previous 2010 Maxima of which I used to pay $1700 per yr.

22 years old and under my dads plan but my rate here in NH is still $235 per month! That seems kind of ridiculous. What should I do?!?
See if there's a way to accelerate the aging process by three years. Of course, that's impossible, but it IS a fact that MARRIED men get a lower rate than single ones. under 25. However, that isn't a great reason to walk down the aisle. ;):D

Thanks for the advice. I might get married to a long time friend in Vegas then. She said she'll do it if I use $10 of the savings I get from the lower rate to buy her lunch once a month.

What a steal.

Less than 1k a year though 21st Century. No accidents, no tickets.

I was with AAA for 4 years. They quoted me $1400 for 1 year + $35 for the Membership fee. And wanted to do a full vehicle inspection and take photos.

Called 21st Century and got a better rate. Pays to shop around. No vehicle inspection, no time wasted. Was happy with AAA but wow, they are overcharging me on this one.

$100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
$50,000 property damage liability
$1,000 comprehensive/collision deductible
Brooklyn, NY

928$ per 6 month Geico

I am 28, no tickets, no points on DL, defensive driver course discount, sponsored organisation discount, two not in fault accidents in the past (car was hit while parked).

We pay $420.00 every six months that includes rental car, road side assistance and travel expenses. We have also have $100,00-$300,000 liability and our deductable is $100.00 instead of $250.00 or $500.00. It does help to have a good driving record! :)

Actually... our Insurance went up when we moved to Idaho - and went up $7.00 a month when my husband traded my BMW in for my Q50. We moved here from Southern California. So no- not less because of Idaho. :)
Well, you upgraded to a newer car.

Yeah.. I'm not banking on that. My insurance went up prior to the purchase of the Q50 upon moving to Idaho from Southern California. Now- One would think that it would be cheaper . but really it went up about 25.00 MORE a month from So Cal to here in Idaho. We have USAA . We thought perhaps weather? But I dont know. Now the price difference between the BMW and the Q50 is 7.00 per month. Im not complaining. We have amazing insurance- with amazing perks and deductable. But it is what it is. It was cheaper in So Cal. for us.

USAA isn't really the best with newer cars. I used to use them exclusively but had to switch with my new '16 Q50 RS. They wanted $1200 every 6 months. Went with GEICO instead for $510.30 every 6 months.
