Im still hearing that there are a lot of reliability issues with the MK3 units...

 

Such a let down . Not only is this absolutely the worst infotainment system, there are no decent aftermarket solutions for this. The Joyauto units require attaching a circuit board to the back of the DCU, something I'm not willing to mess with at this point.

 

I guess it depends on your luck, I've had my mk3 for a while and the problems are minor and easily fixable. Phoenix is getting a new firmware to correct for the "stop audio "fault and a new harness to fix the no light in the nav console buttons. The mk2 had lots of issues, haven't bothered with the android auto/ carplay. I have it all on my 256M SSD USB stick

 

 

Only took them 3 generations in the course of maybe a couple years to have so so reliability

 

So I hooked up my cell to Ecutek via bluetooth and now I cannot use my cell for music via bluetooth. Can this Mark 3 access spotify while using ecutek on my cell? How do you MK3 guys get around this bluetooth issue?

 

I'm sure someone can better answer this who has a Mark 3. What kind of cell? What version of BT?

 

I never bought an MK3 so can't help unfortunately. I heard it had too many issues for the money and decided to wait.

So you have Bluetooth version 5.0. What Bluetooth version does the Phoenix Mark III have in it?

 

lets say it has version 5 will that let me run both spotify and ecutek from my cell simultaneously? My music is more important the ecutek gauges.

 

My understanding that Bluetooth version 5 will support up to 7 simultaneous connections but realistically it's more like 3 or 4 because it depends on how much bandwidth the connected devices require. I have no working knowledge of the Phoenix system so I'm of no help to you.

 

Im curious on getting the Mark III but i have an aftermarket amplifier. does the Mark III have the pre outs necessary to connect to a amplifier? (4 channel)

 

It plugs into the factory harness so if the stock harness has that wiring then you're set. I haven't bothered to check that out. Someone else on here just posted about returning their MK3 because of all the issues.

 

In the process of retuning my MK3 now, nothing but issues and I've only had it for a few days. Apparently, it needed to be re-formatted but the file I was given by tech support throws an error before the system can even start the process. Not too happy given I waited 5 weeks for delivery.

 

ouch that hurts.

 

Sorry...but anyone who buys this crap, and expects it to work and work well.....well, I better just leave it there

 

What makes you assume it's crap and that it wouldn't work? Someone has to test new tech that comes out just like anything else.

 

Hello, i buy on aliexpress unit but bad bad dream, unit is only android 4.4 very old, only 2G Ram and 32 G Rom, i order Android 8.1 4G/64. Chinese people are only liars. But main troubles are, Aibags light,on panel olny lights rear hot windows always light and all buttons are off. Can you help me ? Need to plug in some resistors or connect some pins in new unit.....Thank you

 

You need to send it back. They were too buggy and had all sorts of quality issues.

 

This not possible, i try many time comunication of Ali support team and seller but this is China , and open dispute is not to late . I need some datasheet for new panel and try repair ourself.

 

I returned THREE of them. If you paid by credit card, which you should have do a charge back.

I need diagram of white 24 pins connector on original panel. I can upgrade new wire jumper and maybe will be on lights button. Airbag i can connect 4M resistor in series to pin 6.

 

Please some one must have some panel, can you create photo of this two connectors ? China are poor quality. Many thanks

i have from aliexpress too, from seller Aotsr Expert Store. I order 4g Ram,64G rom, Android 8,1 and reality is bullshit 2g ram,32g rom, Android 4.4. i am not only one. If you have panel , please send me pictures of cables. KiriNavi is the same . Good luck

 

I have not fitted mine yet. My KiriNavi is meant to be Android 10, 8 core, 4g & 64G. We will see!
