Not sure about the European brands. I have seen some really big gains on Audis, but cant recall any. I will probably end up googling it or looking it up on youtube tonight.

Yes, there are HP gains and 70+ whp max gain is great. I'm interested in the top end.

I know all the torque and power gains at the lower range are great. No doubt.

It is that power cliff that bugs me. It is not a deal breaker. I just wish the turbos had some capacity for top end...again looking at it from an RS perspective.
I hear you on the power cliff. It's very true and like they say that everything is a tradeoff. It seems like they could have gone a hair bigger and shifted the power to the right.

It's 900whp with those turbos. You're not going to see twin 67mms on this platform for anything other than class racing.
Has anyone tried GTR turbos?

My understanding is that they're not a bolt on deal. If you're going to go through the hassle to adapter to another turbo, you may as well make it a standard flange style (T3/T4/etc.) so you have all sorts of options and power ranges at that point.

Hey Guys! Haven't seen much upgraded turbo cars on here sharing any experiences, mods, or even talking about any power they are making. The list for the fastest VR30 is over 2 years old. Time to bring some light to the platform about upgrading, reliability, and the process. I'm here to start that thread. My mods are on my page, have any questions? Shoot. I have hundreds plus messages on Instagram from people all around the US asking me different questions.

PLEASE DO NOT GET OFFENDED LOL. Not tryna brag or have a "resume". Im editing the post to clarify that I'M STRICTLY TALKING ABOUT R/T TURBOS!!! There are a bunch of forums about pure turbo cars but the information about the R/T turbos is minimal. I haven't been able to find any information before talking to my tuner about what low boost and high boost is, what I can expect with the RA338 on E60 vs full E85. Yes this is my first post. Sorry if I offended any one by any means, I did not mean to to do so.
Plenty if you check youtube and instagram too there is 700whp and 900whp vr30s with stage 2 turbos reliable for sure alot can do with this platform

700whp and 900whp on pure stage 2 turbos?
Link?

I haven't seen that on YouTube. Searching now.

And lately there have been a lot of new accts and on the road around me many more Q's. I was at an intersection of a major road, three lanes in every direction, 4 Q50's at the light.

It's not a matter of new people to the scene, it's a matter of turbo size. Look at PURE's website and dyno graphs. They're running 21+ PSI from the PURE's and making less than 700whp on an E blend. You're not picking up over 200whp above that unless its in the form of a large shot of nitrous.

I think he was probably confusing AMS and the other few individuals on larger turbos (non pure stage 2) that made 700-900. Was hoping he would clarify and/or prove us all wrong, But I don’t think I’ve seen over about 650whp on pure stage 2 with full E.

Curious why you went R/T instead of Pure when it’s well documented Pure make a good 30-50whp more than R/T? At least according to the many build threads, forum posts, discussions, and dynoes posted all over the forums in regards to this.
Maybe because ONE Pure turbo is $3500 and you can get TWO R/T's for $2500 and still gain HP. That would be my guess. Not all of us are seeking 600hp here. You can knock on the the door of 500hp easily with R/T's , tune, lowers etc. and save $4g's for the BIDEN fuel economy ;)

phenomenal necro.

Its $3600 for a pair of pure turbos. Prices where also cheaper a year ago for both IIRC.

Ill assume you mean whp and not hp, but either way 500WHP is doable on stock turbos with E85 for much cheaper than R/T turbo + install.

considering the cost to install the turbos (unless DIY which almost no one is doing) is upwards of $2,000+ when you compare the two all in costs, the difference in the price of the two is negligible, even more so if you do front lsd and/or full down pipes at same time to maximize the install efficiency/cost.

And briefly searching I don't even see R/T turbos available anymore.

I saw that… but no place to add to cart and checkout and no listing on the actual store page where everything else is listed for purchase. I guess you might be able to contact and special order. You used to be able to just add to cart and check out, like the dozens of other turbos for other platforms they have listed. But no longer for the Q in the actual store
